DINGLE 2000 Ltd – HIGH PARK STREET RESERVOIR
Establishment of Project Partnership The continuing need is to raise awareness of the existence of and potential of the grade-II-listed building and roof top space amongst local people, key agencies and the private sector in particular, and to secure active and committed partners to spearhead the community project alongside the Dingle 2000 Development Trust. Interest has been expressed by: -Dingle Community Regeneration Trust -Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The existing community Partnership, led by Dingle 2000 has strong links to the wider community. This engagement is fundamental to the success of this project (similar to the successful Friends of Sefton Park Palm House-which helped to support, publicise and secure the refurbishment of the Palm House). In the case of the Reservoir, this demonstrates the grassroots commitment and backing for the re-use of the Reservoir and for building up community use. A wider partnership including public and priate sector partners will facilitate the delivery of City-wide and North West Regional based activities. The role of the Reservoir should embrace both a community as well as a commercial function.
